Watto's Junk Yard - LEGO Star Wars Set 7186

Exciting in the fact that if you bought the Mos Espa Lego set, then you would now have another two Pod Racers to add to your set. The Pods look fantastic when completed.

There is, however, a few disappointing aspects to this set. One is the Watto figure which is all blue and looks very cheap and nasty. A little brown colouring on his belt would have highlighted this figure considerably.

The second feature disappointing is that only one Pod has a base to it. I would have prefered another based instead of the boring 'junkyard' that was included. A few arches does not make a 'junkyard.' Lego should have just given the Pod a base for children to hold on to and for collectors to display the Pod rather than that rubbish junkyard.

Although, I was disappointed in what this set was, I can't help but look at the Pods and classify this set as a good addition to any collection.

I am a fairly big Star Wars fan and have a massive Lego collection, including the big Podrace kit, which gives me five Lego podracers in total (Anakin, Sebulba, Gasgano, Aldar Beedo and Mawhonic). The kits are quite realstic and are fun to make, but the real fun, at least for me, is using the basic parts along with odds and end from my huge pile of junk (Ever see the Watto's junkyard scene? Close enough.) to try to build replicas of ALL the pods and even ones of my own. The kit's basic components lend themselves very nicely to this kind of thing. Overall I am very happy with the kit, but others with less kitbashing junk than me may not have a great a time with it as I did.

Awsome Toy a gotta have. It is the perfect gift for any star wars fan.
