As a seller who does NOT gouge our customers I feel it important to explain why these sets become SO......... expensive. LEGO themselves LIMIT the production AND the distribution of these sets, especially to small retailers. They also give a LIMITED run and usually stores like toys r us will get these first. They sell at a low price to move them, but once the shipment is sold, thats it. Smaller sellers pay up to 30 % MORE for each set so they can make them available for their customers. Add to that the fees to sell and shipping costs. LEGO sets hold value and their value increases VERY quickly which is why you will see prices rise. YES some do greatly overprice and others just enough to cover their costs to obtain the sets for the customer. Bottom line, This is a fun, large set with great mini figures. It will hold its value and be loved for years to come. You can also ADD smaller sets to it to build on the HOTH theme. Shop around and buy from a trusted seller.Enjoy this great set :)

This set is great, I only hope that more sets like this and the Cloud city set come out soon. It's easy to put togeter, and looks great with the rest of the Star Wars line of Legos!

This set was extremely hard to find to buy. Lego always pushes the imagination. My son will sit for hours and create. The star wars line is very cool. The only thing I would have improved with this set is the durability of the set after it is built. The pieces seperate very easily, sometimes falling apart in the middle of play. Other than dealing with tears of frustration when the toy fell apartLego Star Wars Hoth Rebel Base 7666, this set is cool.

I AGREE! THIS PRICE IS OUTRAGEOUS AND HOPEFULLY A MIS-PRINT.Toysrus and Target offer it for $59.00. Lego on their site offer it for $49.00.
WHAT'S GOING ON? I guess I will shop elsewhere.

LEGO STAR WARS ROLEPLAY!
Hey, Lego Star Wars fans! Ever wanted to be a Clone? Well now you can! This is a roleplay, a text-based storytelling game, where you and other players fight and adventure through the star wars world! This is an Rebublic vs. Separatist game, so you can't be a jedi or a sith, just a clone trooper. In this, you are a member of the famed 501st, with Captain Rex as your leader. Here's a list of what you can be: Clone Commander(3): You get to order others around and carry cool gear and stuff! ;) Clone Sharpshooter: Use a really awesome long-range blaster and snipe out the enemy! Clone Pilot: Pilot the various vehicles in the Clone Wars, like the V-19 Torrent! Clone Technician: Fix the broken-down vehicles. A very needed postion. Clone Trooper: Fight for the Rebublic! Well there you go! Have fun! Oh, and this is a literate game, so no chatspeak or lolspeak, or smilies. And please try to spell everything right.

JEDI COUNCIL MEETINGS
hello fellow jedi. I just thought that it would be neat if we could make a jedi counsel. Of course if you are like me, a padawan, you won't be on the counsel. you have to pass the test first. here it goes. true or false: Obi wan owned Boga. Super battle droids were invented by who? what was obi wan's famouse line after defeting general greviouse? who trained greviouse? what episode did anakin and padme get married? name the 5 jedi masters who went to defeat palpatine. if you pass this test your on tha cousel. I'll post whether you passed or not after you post.
