 Great product - BUT BEWARE of Amazon shipping bait and switch January 2, 2009

We pulled the old PS2 out of storage to use with Dance Dance Revolution for my daughter and Rock Band for the Family. When I hooked it back up in the living room, I remembered why we never left this out. WIRES EVERYWHERE. This setup is great. Worked immediately out of the package, no cfg or pairing needed. They even came with the batteries!!! Love my new controllers and was happy to see that they even provided vibration feedback just like the wire version.
Now onto the problem... The Rock Band order fiasco. I found Rock Band for PS2 in local stores for $150 or more. I decided to check Amazon and was please to see that it was $99. SCORE - and with Prime, I would get it OVERNIGHT for only $3.99 more. I ordered Rock Band on December 27th through Amazon prime. I paid the extra money for the "OVERNIGHT" shipping option so that it would arrive BEFORE New Years Eve (as it was planned for a party). It was scheduled to arrive on Tuesday December 30th (since the order took place over the weekend)which would have left PLENTY of time.
HOWEVER - AMAZON's useless shipping department did not send this package overnight-as I paid for. They instead decided that UPS ground would suffice since it was shipping within the same zone. HERE is the problem with this fraudulent practice - UPS, like any other shipper prioritizes it packages based on actual shipping service purchased. Since this item was a GROUND package, it sat on the truck ALL day and ultimately was returned to the distribution center AFTER 7:00 PM. Also, since it was GROUND, it did not go out for delivery on the following day (12/31) since this was a limited service day for air packages only. AGAIN, if Amazon had shipped it properly, it would have been delivered on 12/31. REMEMBER I PAID for OVERNIGHT service.
I was able to prove this shipping problem was caused by Amazons practice of not properly handling a shipment, based on another order. The second order was also place with Amazon prime on MONDAY 12/29. Since it was not urgent, I opted for the FREE 2nd Day delivery. That package actually shipped via 2nd day air (as expected) and due to class of serivce (air) it was delivered on 12/31 (the holiday). It is now FRIDAY 1/2 and I still have not yet rec'd my Rock Band order. IT WILL BE REFUSED WHENEVER IT IS FINALLY DELIVERED as I bought the exact same product from Walmart on Wednesday morning for the SAME PRICE.
I complained to Amazon about this and the best they would do is refund my shipping and offer me $5.00 off my NEXT purchase. Why would I purchase from them again after this terrible experience.
In summary - BEWARE OF THE SHIPPING Bait and Switch! Use Amazon's site for your research and customer reviews. If you like the item and want to buy it, see if you can get it local for the same deal - if so TAKE IT. Don't trust Amazon's shipping dept. or expect good customer service! If they keep this up - they will go the way of SO MANY companies today and be gone in a heartbeat.

I finally, FINALLY got rid of all those cords for my PS2; I had previously gotten a cordless GameCube controller, so now it was definitely time for a PS2 one. I am very pleased with this controller - the shape is a little bit different than the default controller that comes with the gaming system, but it is very easy to get used to. It even came with batteries! No more getting frustrated with those cords that tangle themselves into a huge mess and refuse to straighten out!
Also, I got this product the day after I ordered it in EXCELLENT condition, even with the holidays close. Lovely!

PS2 users and the people who live with them can breathe a sigh of relief after buying this cordless controller. Installation is so easy that anyone who can read Basic English can complete it in minutes, including reading time and putting in the two AA batteries which are included in the package. Quadruple your time if you're counting the time it takes to open the tightly sealed packaging as this may require the use of power tools. (Slight exaggeration)
After releasing the controller from bondage and putting in the batteries the right way, simply plug the receiver into the slot where the old wired controller used to be, and you're good to go.
My son, the resident expert, reports better control, better feel and better buttons, and I guess he likes it because he disappeared with it into his room, and we've had a peaceful day since then.
Instead of sitting up close to the TV, he can now sit way back on the bed in royal comfort, and best of all, I know I won't be risking my neck tripping over wires as I pass through the war zone. Another thing that I can say is majorly cool and improved is the vibration feature. I received permission to hold it and push a few buttons during a game, and this feature really put me in the game. After being rescued from peril by an exasperated child, I retired hurt, but very pleased with this controller.
Two minor cons are keeping track of the controller without using a tracking device or bloodhound, and having to change the batteries every 45-50 hours of playing time. No biggies.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son. What an awesome idea!! He has a 2 year old little brother that is constantly tripping over the wires while he is playing in his bed. Let's just say the whole game system has ended up crashing to the floor MANY times. I thought that my older son would love this and I was right. It was one of his favorite presents and as soon as he opened it, he had to play with it. So far it's working great, but he's only been using it for a day.

STAR WARS 2009 SETS
As some of you may know, the January 2009 sets have already been released. For those of you who don't know, the sets are on the Star Wars part of Shop at Home. Please post your opinions of the sets here. Here is my opinion: I think they are interesting, and for once there is a set with more than two clones (the battle pack[:D])! Also, I like that they are re-releasing an older set (the tie fighter).
