Product Description
Build your own C-3PO, just like Anakin Skywalker. And like the C-3PO from Star Wars, this one has real moving parts. The head turns and nods, arms move and bend--even its fingers move. The knees have circular joints, and certain portions of his plating open to reveal the interior workings. Build it and amaze your friends.

5 out of 5 stars Collector's choise   January 7, 2002

C-3PO is a very nice character in the Star wars epic. My droid
was a christmas present, so I was really happy about it.
I can say the same, that this droid looks perfect on my shelf,
but I would not recommend it for smaller kids. It accidently falls apart, if you do not take care of holding it in your hand.
Here is an advise, to get rid of it unnecessary mishap. The rubber-bands are tightened in normal case... (If they are not, the robot is much more stable!!!)

I bought this droid as soon as I came out in the shops and I was a little disappointed really.

If you are a great Star Wars fan then I would recommend you get this in your collection.

Its features are quite good and pretty original, the idea is you buy this with the Storm trooper, who fires his gun at C3PO and the little dude's head and arms fly off! Poor guy!

The idea is great, but due to the mechanism required to achieve this action, the droid isn't too stable when being played with buy our younger friends! He tends to shed his arms and head when you least expect it! Also it uses the new "Ball and Socket" joints for the arms, which are technically good, but are not really strong enough to survive the arms waving about when being played with.

In my opinion this one should be built and left on the shelf with your other droids, just sitting there looking cool!

But my one has now been dismantled and is now in the form of a rather cool single seater speeder for my battle droid (see other reviews) I might post the building plans on the Lego website someday so keep looking.

Don't be put off buying this model though, he is a nice little droid who looks good with his friends, even if he is sat on your shelf!

Happy building! P.

4 out of 5 stars A Sunday Afternoon Project   June 7, 2001

As a fan of the Star Wars line from Lego, imagine my suprise on Valentines Day when I opened up C3PO. I have to say that this is the best of the Technic Legos and saved this "project" for a lazy Sunday afternoon. While I wouldn't recommend this for a young child, an adult would have a blast putting this together.
